Plant Design

The refrigeration plant is designed to cope with the load related to potato storing, and processing using a main ammonia plant as a primary refrigerant and glycol as a secondary refrigerant this greatly reduces the refrigerate charge and the risk of potential leaks.

Due to the remote location of the facility and the critical process within the factory, Amertec designed the system with 100% backup comprising of two complete systems with Mycom screw compressors, cooling condensers, oil coolers, and two highly efficient plate heat exchangers.

The end result is a very robust system handling fluctuating refrigeration loads, and ambient conditions.
